Challenge
Web design company, The Squad wanted to improve the bandwidth performance and stability for their client Smart Punk without changing their current hosting provider. Smart Punk sells independent music online and streams music using The Squad's media player. With many of Smart Punk's customers being based in Asia and Australia, there were frequent complaints that the web site was very slow.

Solution
The Squad implemented PEER 1's Content Delivery Network CDN), which is an international server network that pushes content closer to users, making downloads faster.

Although The Squad's servers are located in Seattle, they were able to sign up Smart Punk for RAPID EDGE by simply submitting a URL to PEER 1's engineering team. Within a couple of hours, Smart Punk's web site was on PEER 1's CDN. That compares with days or even weeks of provisioning with other content delivery network providers. More importantly, Smart Punk had to make ZERO modifications to their web site.

Now, the CDN automatically stores Smart Punk's content on caching servers placed all over the PEER 1 network. That covers 16 major city centers in North America and Europe.
