In his role as President, Cogeco Peer 1, Philippe is responsible for the overall operations and vision of Cogeco Peer 1.
Passionate about technology, Philippe’s combination of hands on network engineering, strategic planning, product development and marketing make him an exceptional business and technology leader with strong market awareness.
Throughout his career, Philippe has been at the leading edge of technology development. He has managed teams of recognized industry professionals and is a strong proponent of customer centricity, teamwork and collaboration. Philippe also served as Senior Vice President and Chief Technology and Strategy Officer of Cogeco Inc.
A graduate of École Polytechnique de Montréal, Philippe holds a Bachelor of Electrical Engineering, is fluently bilingual and has been a licensed member of the Ordre des Ingénieurs du Québec since 1988.
As Vice President, Customer Experience of Cogeco Peer 1, Scott is responsible for leading a team of more than 160 customer service professionals, ensuring the delivery of an exceptional experience to Cogeco Peer 1 Customers.
Scott brings more than 25 years of global customer service experience to his role. Prior to joining Cogeco Peer 1, Scott hones his customer service skills and expertise at companies both large and small, including AT&T, LexisNexis, TMP Worldwide and Sykes Enterprises.
Scott has a degree in journalism from the University of Georgia. He lives in Atlanta with his wife and two daughters.
Duncan is responsible for overseeing Engineering and Operations at Cogeco Peer 1. This includes strategy, design and delivery of network, data centre, cloud, security and infrastructure services. Duncan also leads a team of IT professionals, managing all of Cogeco Peer 1's critical back office and business support systems.
Duncan brings over 15 years of extensive technology management experience to his role. Before joining Cogeco Peer 1, Duncan served as the CTO of Arcestra Inc., playing an integral role in the leadership and development of the Company’s cloud technology platform for commercial real estate. Prior to that, Duncan was the Senior Director of Global IT for OpenText Corporation, where he was responsible for the management of OpenText's enterprise IT, network, and security and cloud programs.
Duncan is a passionate technology leader who has extensive experience in leveraging new technologies and trends to help business not just solve problems, but also grow their business.
Duncan holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Waterloo with a minor in Computer Science.
An innovative leader and entrepreneur with extensive IT and cloud experience, Toby is passionate about technology and customer experience. As Vice President of Product Management at Cogeco Peer 1, Toby is responsible for helping the company become a world-class provider of solutions and expertise that anticipates customers’ technology needs and partners with them through their growth.
Studying engineering in college led to an interest in computers, and a side business building home computer systems. Naturally, Toby was drawn to a career with a hands-on role in technology.
Since then, he has worked in networking, computer applications architecture and web security and has been responsible for Internet Web Services at Wells Fargo, built and launched Rackspace’s Hybrid Cloud and led their International product strategy in the UK.
As Vice President and General Manger, Latin America and USA, Kevin is responsible for driving revenue and overseeing operations of Cogeco Peer 1 in the USA and Latin America.
Kevin has extensive experience in leading successful sales organizations for multinational companies and brings over 20 years of direct and channel technology sales leadership to his role. Prior to joining Cogeco Peer 1, Kevin was the Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Stratix Corporation, where he helped the company grow sales of its managed mobile services. Kevin has also held senior sales roles at BlueCat Network, Reflexis Systems, Xirrus Corporation, Symbol Technologies, Xircom and SkyTel.
Kevin firmly believes in creating an environment that will enable individuals to realize their full potential, allow customers to focus on their dreams and in technology to change the world for the better.
Paulette is responsible for all aspects of strategic Human Resources, including talent management, leadership effectiveness, labour relations, performance management, learning and development, and compensation and benefit administration. An accomplished HR professional, Paulette has enjoyed a career supporting organizations large and small, from a diverse range of industries including Telecommunications, Media, Manufacturing, and the Financial Services sector. She recently became accredited as an executive coach.
Prior to joining Cogeco Data Services, Paulette was the director of Human Resources for Rogers Media supporting Sales, Marketing, Digital Media, and the Toronto Blue Jays.
Paulette has more than 20 years of professional experience, including 15 years as a systems engineer in the information technology industry. She earned an MBA from the University of Toronto Rotman School of Management and also holds a Bachelor’s degree in computer science from the University of Calgary.
In his role as Vice President Finance, Cogeco Peer 1, Shenif is responsible for financial reporting and planning, decision support, financial operations, payroll, sourcing and supply, as well as business intelligence for Cogeco Peer 1 globally.
Shenif has extensive experience in various finance and operations functions. He spent the bulk of his career in roles of increasing scale and scope, leading the finance functions within IBM Canada, including Controller for IBM Canada Software Lab, Chief Financial Officer, Global Business Services, and Chief Operating Officer, Global Business Services.
Shenif has a Bachelor of Business Administration, Finance from the Schulich School of Business, York University, Toronto, Ontario and is a CPA, CMA.
In his role as Vice President and General Counsel at Cogeco Peer 1, Ben is responsible for the day to day legal activities at Cogeco Peer 1, including abuse and compliance, risk management and contract management – the legal department protects, defends and enforces Cogeco Peer 1's legal interests.
Prior to joining Cogeco Peer 1, Ben held positions with Troutman Sanders LLP and Alston & Bird LLP.
Ben holds degrees from both Emory University in Atlanta Georgia and Vanderbilt Law School. Ben believes that to be a good lawyer you need to be an advocate and it is his goal to ensure that his team adds value to every interaction by identifying risks and finding the right solutions to mitigate them.
